Service Description

This service allows citizens and business sector including contractors of fire fighting equipment and fire alarms to issue a license or to be reclassified

Eligibility or Criteria

Applicants of the license for contractors of fire fighting equipment and fire alarms must add a required trade from the following to the license issued from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, unless the trade required is an authorized one:

Safety and security tools and equipment

General trading and contracting

Mechanical works contracting (fire equipment contracting)

Mechanical and electrical works contracting (fire equipment and fire alarms contracting)

Applicants of reclassification must state the following:

Project names and types being implemented

Works of fire fighting and alarm implemented, since the issuance of the license with the current classification. The Equipment and apparatus installed and the file number for each project at Kuwait Fire Service Directorate must be stated

Required Documents

Official letter addressed to the General Manager of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate with the following documents:

Copy of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry license, stating the information defined in the Eligibility or Criteria section

Copy of the commercial register enrolment

Certificate of registration with Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Copy of the articles of incorporation and the contract of amendment for the company, stating the partners' names and the capital

Certificate from the local banks stating the credit amount, facilities, and the financial status for the company

Copy of the company's classification with the ministries and public institutions or the companies

Copy of the educational and technical experience certificates for the engineers and technicians of the technical body

Proof that the engineers and technicians of the technical body work for the company/organization

Copy of the residence permit affixed to the passport, and copy of the civil ID. The membership certificate of the Kuwait Engineers Society, for Kuwaiti applicants
