This service allows the business sector (companies and organizations) to issue a site license for a radio or television station, after checking the site validity with regard to the radiation safety prior to establishment.

Eligibility or Criteria

The radio or television station must conform with the required specifications and conditions.

The radio or television station must be located at a secure distance away from the other buildings.

Required Documents

Copy from the civil ID of the applicant or the applicant entity's responsible person

Technical specification booklet for the station components, operation method, and the available preventive measures

Copy from the fee payment certificate of the applicant entity to the Public Authority for Social Securities

Original architecture plan for the station required installation and operation site and a copy. This plan must define the dimensions and the location of the apparatuses, in cases of licensing the apparatus use or site

Copy from the station license from other states, if any

Letter from the Radiation Protection Department to allocate a piece of land for the station installation

Copy from the signature authorization of the person signing the request

Copy from the Ministry of Information license, the approval of other entities concerned, and Kuwait Municipality approval on the land allocation

Copy from the license fee payment receipt depending on the type of license

Letter from the applicant entity to the Radiation Protection Department indicating the station location and its surroundings

Submit a letter from the applicant entity to the Radiation Protection Department of the Ministry of Health indicating the station location and its surroundings

Fill the service application form

Pay the fees due

The apparatuses are classified as per the ministerial decree and the required license types are determined. Then, the station installation and usage locations are inspected, in case of applying for a site license. The license is issued from the Radiation Protection Department and submitted to the applicant in person or his agent
