Turkey on Friday blasted Canada for "interference"
in Saudi Arabia's internal affairs.
"It is natural for countries to express views and thoughts on various
issues," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said during a phone
conversation with his opposite Saudi number, Adel Al-Jubair.
"However, this should not be in the form of interference in other
countries' internal affairs," added Cavusoglu without naming Canada.
Saudi Arabia had suspended diplomatic ties and new trade dealings with
Canada in response to Ottawa's call for the release of whom it called "women's
rights activists" in the kingdom.
