The State of Kuwait - The Central Agency for Information Technology - was named the winner of the bronze Stevie® Award in the 13th Annual International Business Awards in the non-profit organizations category for the official web portal of the State of Kuwait. In its turn, the portal excelled a lot of global portals that participated in this year's competition. The winning institutions were awarded at a ceremony in the Italian capital Rome on Friday, October 21, 2016 in the presence of the representatives of the Central Agency for Information Technology Ms./Majedah AlNaqeeb-Deputy Director General-Assistant Under Secretary National Projects sector, and Ms./ Director of the e-gate at CAIT Dr. Ettehad AlBahar.

Kuwait won three awards for the category of outstanding project during the third session of the Conference and Exhibition Award and e-government for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held in Dubai. Kuwait Government Online (www.e.gov.kw) has won the Creative Design award, under the category Official and Government Authorities, Information and Communication Technology, for the year 2011, as part of the E-Government Competition that was held by the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO); in cooperation with the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy. The competition is dedicated to the official organizations and governments of the Arab countries. The competition offers five awards including; the award of Creative infrastructure, Technical Creativity, Creative Design, Visual Creativity and finally the Creative Interactivity Award. These awards are given to the official organization and government sites in the Arab countries. The competition aims to appreciate the efforts of the Arab governments which have launched their websites and portals to offer services to citizens and residents alike, providing them with information, and achieving transparency. Also to appreciate their efforts regarding benefiting from the global technological revolution in promoting the Arab efforts to introduce the digital environment into the Arab world
