Service Description

  • This is a service where wireless communication devices are used on marine means of transportation, such as small boats or vessels. These devices are used within certain allocated frequency ranges for the purposes of; security, paging, and SOS, or for trade or special purposes

Eligibility or Criteria

  • There are no conditions

Required Documents

  • A filled application form for using wireless devices
  • Copy of Civil ID
  • Copy of the registration certificate of the boat or vessel
  • A catalog of the device to be used
  • Technical data of the device
  • Serial numbers for the devices
  • Clearance Certificate

Procedures

Refer to the Department and submit a letter requesting the use of wireless devices
Submit all required documents to be checked by the assigned employee
Pay the fees
The related person is granted the license to use certain frequency ranges

Fees

(0) KD Variable fees
(50) KD Fixed fees: For 5 years
