Service Description

  • This service allows citizens and the business sector (companies and organizations) to measure the concentration of the radioactive materials in samples of drinking water, food and other material

Required Documents

  • Application from Kuwait Municipality or the applicant government entity according to the sample type stating the code number, type, production and expiry dates, country of origin, and trademark of the imported samples, in case of examining imported samples of drinking water and food for government entities
  • Official letter from the entity submitting the required sample for measuring its radioactivity to the Radiation Protection Department stating the sample type, the producing company, the required radioactive test, in case of examining other samples for government entities
  • Letter from the applicant entity requesting the tests and stating the sample type, production and expiry dates, and trademark, in case of examining samples for the private sector
  • Payment receipt of the sample radioactive examination fees according to the required tests stated in the company letter, in case of examining samples for the private sector

Procedures

Visit the Radiation Protection Department of the Ministry of Health and submit the required documents and samples
Fill the service application form
Pay the fees due. The samples will be received, weighed and chemically prepared, and then registered in the examination application. Then, each sample will be examined for radioactivity according to the technical proceedings suitable to the sample type and examination request. After finishing the examination, the results will be registered in the sample application
When the proceedings are completed, an official letter will be sent to the applicant entity stating the examination results, the resolution on the sample validity or invalidity
