Replacing Driving Licenses for the Gulf Cooperation Council Citizens

Service Description

  • This service allows Kuwaiti citizens and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens, who obtained driving licenses from any of the GCC states, to replace their foreign licenses with Kuwaiti driving licenses, pursuant to the Traffic Law Articles and Provisions, Executive Regulation No. (76/67), and Amendments thereof.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The license to be renewed must be valid in the issuing country

Required Documents

  • Copy of the civil ID
  • Copy of the passport
  • Two (2) personal photos (4 × 6 cm) with blue background
  • Blood type certificate

Procedures

Visit the General Traffic Department in the governorate you refer to and submit the required documents.
Fill the service application form
Obtain the stamp of Coordination and Follow-up Department
Have the medical check-up
Pay the fees due

40 KD Variable fees: For Kuwaiti citizens
50 KD Variable fees: For GCC citizens
0 KD Fixed Fees
