A set of three wildfires spread across
California on Friday that burned down structures and caused thousands of
people to evacuate.
In Ventura and Los Angeles counties 2,000 to 10,000 acres were burned,
according to California Fire authorities. At least 30 homes were also engulfed
in flames and 30,000 homes were threatened.
There have been no reported fatalities and some 400 personnel were working
on the fire Friday morning.
The LA Fire Department ordered a mandatory evacuation in the city of Los
Angeles due to the fire.
Outside of Thousand Oaks, near where a shooting killed 12 people on
Wednesday, was the source of another fire.
This fire grew to 10,000 acres and forced several mandatory evacuations in
In Northern California, a third fire raged to the city of Paradise. Tens of
thousands were forced to leave the city where officials said thousands of
buildings had been burnt to the ground.
