Service Description

  • A certificate used to apply for Retirement Salary for the disabled caregiver’s mother or Letter to reduce working hours

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Permanent severe and medium disability
  • Obtaining a copy of the proof of disability certificate issued by the General Authority for the Disabled Affairs
  • The disabled is a Kuwaiti citizen or treated as such up to the age of 21

Required Documents

  • Copy of the proof of disability certificate
  • Copy of a valid civil ID of the caregiver and the disabled
  • Copy of the birth certificate
  • Copy of the disability ID
  • Letter of non accommodation from the social house cares located in Al Sulaybikhat area –Al Izam Round-About, stating that the disabled is not a resident in the house care or any of the shelter centers or the Elderly Care Departments
  • Marriage continuity (in case the disabled is one of the spouses)
  • Ruling of guardianship or trusteeship against the disabled in case the disabled is of the age of 21 for mental disabilities and in case of death of the father, for all disabilities below 21 years of age
  • Custody ruling in case of divorce of one of the spouses (for the disabled minors)

Procedures

Filing a dossier with the required documents at the Authority building in Hawalli region - Block 11 - Beirut Street - opposite Bayan Bilingual School​
The documents in the dossier are examined and according to each case, it is determined whether there would be an office interview or a field visit to the case
The caregiver’s letter shall be received within 3 days
Note: (Applications are received from 8:30 am to 12:00 am on Sundays and Tuesdays for females; and on Mondays and Wednesdays for males. Thursdays are for administrative work and no clients are admitted
