Service Description

  • A disabled employee or an employee caring for a disabled child or spouse deserves reduced working hours minus two paid hours per day.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The service applicant is the disabled himself/herself for permanent simple disabilities
  • The service applicant is either the parent or the caregiver of the disabled for permanent moderate and severe disabilities
  • The service application is allowed for the Kuwaiti mother who cares for a non-Kuwaiti child or husband only for permanent moderate and severe disabilities

Required Documents

  • Copy of the disability proof certificate issued by the General Authority for the Disabled Affairs
  • Original smart civil card of the disabled and a copy thereof
  • Copy of the smart civil care of guardian
  • Marriage contract if the disabled is one of the spouses
  • Copy of the caregiver’s letter if the service applicant is not the guardian
  • For moderate and severe mental disabilities only; in case the caregiver’s letter is not available, an interdiction order must be submitted for guardianship over the disabled

Procedures

The required documents shall be submitted at the location of the Authority building in Hawalli region - Block 11 - Beirut Street - opposite Bayan Bilingual School​, during the working hours Sundays and Tuesdays for women and Mondays , Wednesdays and Thursdays for men
