Service Description

  • This service for business sector allows modifying, renewing or cancelling the commercial license.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Notes:
  • - The Ministry may request any other document it finds necessary for granting, modifying or renewing the license.
  • - The application is automatically cancelled after three month from submitting it if the procedures are not complete.
  • Warning: The Ministry draws the attention of the license owners that the license will be cancelled if the activity stopped for six month without notifying the Ministry and it will be cancelled if a year passed on its end or if it was rented to other persons.

Required Documents

  • Renewal: - Original commercial license- required fees: 40 KD
  • - Certificate from the civil entity stating that the store exists and practices the activity it is licensed for.
  • - Copy of lease contract and license, after checking them by the real estate owner with the original lease in the name of the license owner
  • Changing the address: - Original commercial license- required fees: 40 KD
  • - Copy of lease contract and license, after checking them by the real estate owner with the original lease in the name of the license owner
  • - Automatic number certificate for the signatory
  • Adding an Activity: - Original license - required fees: 40 KD
  • - Lease contract and receipt stating that the required activity from the real estate owner in the name of the license owner.
  • Changing the Activity: - Original license - required fees: 40 KD
  • - Lease contract and receipt stating the required activity from the real estate owner in the name of the license owner
  • Cancelling a license: - Original license - required fees: 20 KD
  • Replacement for lost license: - Submitting a certificate for reporting the lost license at the police station - Required fees 40 KD
  • Replacement for a damaged license: - Damaged original license - required fees: 40 KD
  • - Procedures for some licenses require addressing the competent ministerial entities upon their request depending on the activity type.

Visit the Commercial License Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and submit the required documents.
