Service Description

  • This service enables the issuance of a dependent entry visa for family joining for employees in the government and private sectors.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • For the purpose of family joining, and in accordance with Ministerial Resolutions No. (1212/2004) and No. (3384/2016), the sponsor’s salary shall not be less than KWD 450, unless the sponsor belongs to one of the exempt categories (15 professions).​

Required Documents

  • The designated entry visa application form.
  • A copy of the sponsored person’s passport, provided that its validity period is no less than two years.
  • A copy of the sponsor’s Civil ID.
  • Proof of kinship (a copy of the passport shall suffice for Arab nationals, while a certificate issued by the relevant embassy shall be required for non-Arab nationals).
  • A copy of the work permit for private sector employees, or a salary certificate for government sector employees, for the purpose of verifying the salary requirement.
  • For holders of Article 19, a copy of the license or the company contract shall be provided.
  • For holders of Article 24, consideration of the application shall fall within the sole discretion of the Director General or the Assistant Director General.

Procedures

The applicant shall bring the required documents and visit the General Department of Immigration to complete the service. ​

The designated service form shall be completed. ​

The prescribed fees for the service shall be paid.​
