Applying for a temporary exhibition license in the State of Kuwait

Service Description

  • This service allows organizations and companies organizing exhibitions for the business sector to hold temporary exhibitions in the State of Kuwait

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The applicant must have a license for organizing and managing exhibitions for third parties
  • Foreign companies are allowed to exhibit only
  • The applicant must obtain the approvals of the Ministry of Interior, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate, and the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources, in case of doing circus shows
  • A written letter must be sent to the Customs Department, in case the exhibits and the exhibition equipment are temporarily imported, provided that they must be re-exported after the end of exhibition period
  • The provisions of the Ministerial Decree No. (20/2003) and Communities Decree No. (434) of (2002) on the rules and regulations governing the organization of jewellery and gold-works exhibitions must be adhered to, provided that all the required documents must be submitted one week before the exhibition inauguration
  • The applicant must obtain the approval of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  • Companies and organizations that aim at promoting their commercial agents and products may avail this service
  • The duration of the exhibition must not exceed 15 days
  • The applicant must refer to the Department of International Relations (Exhibition Section) to submit the real estate official documents and sign the related declaration and undertaking
  • The applicant must obtain the approval of the Embassy mentioned in the exhibition
  • The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is entitle to request the approvals of the other entities concerned before giving its approval on holding the exhibition
  • The applicant must obtain the approval of the Municipality on the exhibition location

Required Documents

  • Letter of attorney from the foreign company organizing the exhibition approved by the official entities
  • List for the participating companies
  • List for the kinds of exhibits
  • Copy of the commercial licenses for the participating companies
  • Letter from the entity applying for the temporary exhibition license stating the location and date of the exhibition

Procedures

Visit the Department of International Relations (Exhibition Section) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and submit the required documents
