Service Description

  • This service allows Kuwaiti individuals to renew expired ID cards​.​

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The service can be accessed via the Sahel application, the electronic services available on the Authority's website www.paci.gov.kw​​, or by attending in person, or by the attendance of the guardian or his legal representative by virtue of an official power of attorney from the Ministry of Justice, or by automatic renewal by calling 1889988 or sending an SMS to 1889988. ​​​

Required Documents

  • Copy of the civil ID.
  • For individuals aged 18 and above: Original nationality document and a copy of it.
  • Two personal photos (for each individual aged 5 years and above).
  • Copy of the passport for individuals aged 5 and above and must be recently issued, or proof of nationality along with a photo for those who have reached the age of 5 and do not have a recent passport.

Individuals with moderate and severe disabilities are exempt from the fees for issuing and renewing the civil ID card upon presenting proof from the Public Authority for Disability Affairs, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 8 of 2010.
