The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said on Sunday that the total of passengers that traveled through to and from Kuwait International Airport in 2023 reached 15,616,800 passengers.
In a statement to KUNA, DGCA's Acting Director-General Emad Al-Jalawi noted that Kuwait's International Airport witnessed a rise in passenger traffic by 26 percent and in flights by 23 pct. Whereas air shipping increased by three pct compared to the year prior.
He affirmed that in 2023, the number of arrivals reached 7,932,222 and the departures reached 7,684,578.
He explained that the number of flights operated from and to Kuwait International Airport reached 128,584 flights compared to 104,147 in 2022.
Al-Jalawi revealed that in 2023, the cargo traffic amounted to a total of 210 million kgs, where the volume of inbound cargo reached 170 million kg and the outbound cargo reached 40.3 million kg.
