Service Description

  • This service allows the business sector (already established factories) to benefit from customs duties exemption on raw material, packing and packaging material, or spare parts

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The applicant must pay the fees due estimated by (25) K.D
  • The raw material must be required in the production plan and must not be manufactured in Kuwait
  • The industrial license must be valid

Required Documents

  • Exemption request filled by the establishment and meeting the material HS Code data
  • Previous year budget of the establishment including the manufacturing account stamped by the certified public accountant
  • Approved financial statements for the production requirements
  • Paid fees receipt for the request
  • Copy of the industrial license provided that the establishment must be currently established
  • Latest lease receipt for the current year
  • Latest lease receipt for the parcel of the Public Authority for Industry
  • Certificate of the national employment percentage
  • Copy of the industrial license
  • Applicant's signature authorization

Procedures

Fill the service application form attached below
Visit the Integrated Services Center of the Public Authority for Industry and submit the required documents. The receptionist checks the documents required with the application form. The Customer Service Center Manager transfers the request to the engineer in charge. The engineer reviews the request and then transfers it to the Industrial Support Section. The Industrial Support Section examines the request, prepares the exemption memorandum, and takes the approval procedures. Then, the approval is sent to the Customer Service Section
Check the Integrated Services Center for the request status. In case the request is approved, you will obtain an approval certificate. The original request will be retained in the client's file at the Archives Section for easy reference, when needed
